INTRODUCING…
The Parenthood PurposeFinder
An interactive course to help you explore your motivations to become a parent, and get clearer on your ‘Big Why’.
You’re not 100% sure why you want to be a parent.
Hi, I’m Helen, and I help people like you, to create purposeful plans for parenthood
Before I had kids, I spent more than a decade feeling really uncertain about whether I wanted to become a parent. And even when I eventually figured out that I did want to do it, I was still a bit hazy on why.
But I knew it was important to be clear on why I was doing this, if I was going to do it, before I leapt in. My purpose would inform my plans and make them more effective.
I’m a big believer in making proper plans for parenthood that really work, emotionally and practically. (In fact I’ve built my business helping future parents create plans).
And purposeful planning starts with a ‘why’, then builds the best way ‘how’ to do things, around the ‘why’.
So through my research, personal experience, and talking to lots of parents, I’ve put together a balanced, reflective resource for those who want help figuring out their personal ‘why’.
What’s Included
The Parenthood PurposeFinder is a short, thought-provoking and interactive, course to help you reflect on your motivations to become a parent and to stimulate discussion with your partner (if you have one).
It’s designed to bring you clarity on how much childcare you want to use, and when, so you can move on to making practical choices about providers.
Informative, thought-provoking videos
8 short videos (totalling just over 1 hour of content) cover topics such as the meaning of life (!), how parenthood might affect your purpose, the 10 big motivations to have children, how to figure out your top 3 reasons for having children and how to (gently) challenge them.
Questions for you to answer in the tool
Accompanying every video, there’s a question or two for you to answer, so you capture your views in a structured way. This ensures you’re always actively listening and relating the learning to your own life.
Your personal pdf document, “My Parenthood Purpose”
The answers to your questions will be collated automatically into a pdf document which you can download at the end, perhaps to share with your partner to stimulate discussion.
All your questions answered, for 12 months
Ask questions and get answers, for 12 months after buying the course. These will be personal answers, to help you understand how the course content relates to your life.
Feel clear on your motivation, and ready to make decisions.
“[This was] engaging and effective in helping [me] reflect on [my] parental motivations….
[The tool] is a really fantastic tool!
The prompts are intelligently put together and the step-by-step process helps you arrive at a meaningful outcome that you can go back over to further deepen.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and leadership in this under-investigated and under-supported area of parenthood!… I feel a lot more confident and excited about exploring and sharing my motivations for parenthood with my partner and others. If you’re considering buying this, it’s definitely worth investing in!”
